This is my very first Rice Owl Certamen. The Certamen is an annual competition similar to the Quizbowl, except that all of the questions are about the Classics, from Greek Mythology to Roman lifestyle and culture, to Latin. Because my school does not have an actual team for this specific event, I was placed on a wildcard team, which is a group of students who also down have a specific team to join. This was a pretty awesome event, and I'm sure this will be the first of many more competitions that I will join. Also, I took an exam prepared by the Certamen, about Greek Mythology. I received first place and earned an awesome certificate!
